Yixuan Zhai (’26) and I have just published a paper in the proceedings for the International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications (VISAPP). Yixuan has been working on machine learning models that estimate user-to-webcam distance for HCI and gaze estimation applications. Her image dataset was the focus on this paper and she gave a wonderful talk on the paper at VISAPP in Marbella, Spain this past week.
