So much good news to share from the past few weeks! I am thrilled to be presenting at both the Psychonomic Society Conference and at OPAM this year in Chicago.

At the conference for the Psychonomic Society, I will be presenting a poster titled “Going beyond the ‘visual’ in visual search: Semantic search for related words.”. This project was in collaboration with Michael Hout, Gemma Fitzsimmons, Tammy Meneer, and Hayward Godwin and delves into the role of semantic information during attentional guidance. I’m happy to have the opportunity to present!

I recently received my acceptance to give a talk on our work in categorical search at this year’s OPAM. I’m very excited to share the results!! I’ll be speaking Thursday November 19th, which is just before the kickoff for The Psychonomic Society conference this year in Chicago. My talk is entitled “Categorical templates: Typical category members are found and identified quickly during word-cued search.”

Some more good news, 2 of our outstanding research assistants (Alexis and Garrett) will be presenting a poster highlighting our work examining strategies in collaborative visual search. This is a very cool line of research we are starting in the lab and we can’t wait to share our results!
